Looking for Work Experience
There are quite a lot of media companies in Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset of varying sizes and successes. LoveLove Films and Thin Reel Media are two Dorset based companies that could be potential future employers but the best opportunities would be found in and around London.
LoveLove Films
LoveLove Films is a fairly small but very successful award winning production company based in Bournemouth. The company consists of 28 employees and mainly focuses on TV and internet ads as well as music videos. They have worked on commercials for EasyJet and McDonalds and helped with the recently released 'Williams' film among many other things. I would want to work there as it is a small company that is being incredibly successful whilst continuing to have a friendly work ethos.
Thin Reel Media
Thin Reel Media is a recently started and extremely small production based in Dorset. The company operates with only a few employees but this hasn't stopped them from producing commercial videos for some fairly well known companies. They have produced work for the Dodgeball Winter Rally, The Dorset Business Awards as well as producing a promotional video for GP Management at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This company would be good to work at as it is a small company that produces some great content, given it's size, and I know the Managing Director of it.
Pure Brand Media
Pure Brand Media is a Southampton based company that was established in 2006. It is fairly large company that now operates out of three counties; Hampshire, Sussex and London. They have produced work for companies such as Carnival UK and Smith Newmans as well as a number of smaller companies. This company is appealing as it is already well established with good clientele and provides the opportunity to work in different locations.
These are all companies that I would like to approach and I would probably leave them my CV as well as a link to my show reel. I could also make a separate video that promotes me and makes me stand out if I really wanted to work for a certain company.
