Favourite Music Video
Hopeless Wanderer by Mumford & Sons is my favourite music video as it incorporates a sense of comedy into a more emotional song. It also includes comedians Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte and Ed Helm. Despite the lyrics, the actual song is fairly upbeat which is why the comedy in the video works so well. It is filmed in a way that also makes it seem a little nostalgic and from a bygone era, all of which adds to the comedic take on it. The use of close ups when playing instruments is also quite effective as it makes it seem as if the actors can actually play, making it more realistic, despite the close ups being of the actual band.
